The Cyrus 8 was we believe a significant step forward in integrated amplifier design and would have formed a valuable and long-lasting cornerstone for your system. The previous Cyrus 7 amplifier carved an enviable reputation in our industry for delivering first-class sound quality from within its compact, stylish Cyrus chassis.
The ‘impossible’ brief for the Cyrus 8 amplifier was to take this formula even further, with more output power, higher output current, better power supply rejection, improved PSX-R upgradability and more sophistication in the control system. In the process of upgrading these performance ideals it was also appropriate to review the sound performance of the amplifier to establish the sound signature.
